Vocal Myth Busting (Part One)

Harpy Vase

This weeks post is Part One of a Two Part series aimed at busting some commonly held Vocal Myths. In this series I’m hoping to clear up a few questions and misconceptions I often hear on a regular basis in my role as a Vocal Coach.

These are:

  • If I’m a naturally good singer, but have never had any training, do I really need singing lessons?
  • Do you need to be born with talent to become a great singer, or are these skills that can be cultivated over time?
  • Do I need a perfect and clean voice in order to make it as a recording artist?

To find out my answers to these questions, check out the video I’ve made below:

I hope you’ve found these tips helpful, if so feel free to follow me via EmailFacebookYouTube and Twitter for future posts and videos. If you have any other vocal myths you’d like me to bust, leave a comment and I will do my best to respond.
